Registered Psychologist Michael Jimenez talked about Mental Health in the Workplace during the Medical Forum conducted among PhilHealth Doctors in Northern Luzon in December 17 & 18, 2019 Philhealth in cooperation with FDM Training Center spearheaded the forum that tackled on various topics including dyslipidemia, community acquired pneumonia, hemodialysis and updates on Philhealth services.
Jimenez discussed the World Health Organization data on mental health and depression and how the Mental Health Gap Intervention Protocol is being used in order to address mental health conditions in the grassroots level. He emphasized the role of R.A. 11036. The law aims to establish a national mental health policy directed towards improving the health of the population in schools, workplaces and communities, underscoring the basic right of all Filipinos to mental health.
